Failed Daybooks merge - Flipbook - Page 9
7) Go into NL, daybook misc options, and daybook log file maintenance. Look up the
daybook prior to the missing daybook, and also the daybook after the missing one.
Note down the date entered and time entered for both of these.
8) From the grid in here, click on the column option, and then take the option to
create. You should then enter all of the details you have gathered from your
investigation. The date and time entered should be approximated from the previous
and next daybooks. Not all of the fields need to be entered in daybook log file. An
example of a created record and what it should look like follows:
9) Once you have created this daybook entry, save it, and then run the clear processed
batches option again. This should then go through successfully. If it does not, contact
a senior team member immediately.
OTHER POINTS TO CONSIDER:

÷
On early releases (7.40) the option clear processed batches may not report on
the EOD if it panics. This is likely to be because the option is set on the EOD
to be a concurrent option, and these do not report if they fail. This can be
changed by ENV but bear in mind that it could slow down the EOD as a
whole.
Clear processed batches panics are one of the major causes of full invoice
buffers. Keep an eye out for multiple calls when dealing with these as users
are unable to work in POS and VSB while this is the case.
