8. Introduction
A main sales credit can be produced at any time before the vehicle record goes to X – Record Closed.
If there is a supplementary invoice on the record this will need to be credited before the main credit can be done.
Refer to process 06.005.01 L1 Producing a Supplementary Credit.
The trade-in attached to the main vehicle record will also need to be dealt with before the main credit can be
raised. The raising of the main vehicle sales invoice automatically produces the purchase invoice for the trade-in,
crediting the main vehicle sales invoice automatically produces a purchase credit note for the trade-in.
If there is more than one trade-in then each trade-in will need to be dealt with before the main vehicle sales
invoice can be credited. If any of the trade-ins have been sold the sales invoice and any supplementary invoices
will need to be credited.
It is important to find the ends of the 8chain9 and start crediting any invoices from the end of the chain.
