Enter the Consignment date and Consignment note number in the relevant fields on the
Purchase Brief tab shown below.
The Consignment date, together with the Purchase Order type and the settings in Franchise
Data work out the Adoption date and Interest free expiry date. Whilst there is no immediate
functionality provided by these dates, they are usually used in the reports for working out what
stock has to be paid for and what stock is attracting interest so that special deals can be
offered on them.
Eventually, when the Account Status on the record is changed to A – Adopted the system will
use the Adoption Date to determine which period is to be used for the adoption postings. The
date in this field can be overtyped at any time until the vehicle status has been changed to
Adopted and the record Saved.

Setting the Vehicle to Consigned
icon to save the changes to the vehicle stock record.
