2. Introduction
When the vehicle consignment note is received from the vehicle supplier, the information from it is used to update
the relevant vehicle stock record.
It is important that the information on the consignment note is checked to the information already held on the
vehicle stock record and any differences should be investigated and corrected immediately. Things like the colour
and trim may be different to that set up previously on the vehicle record in this case a physical check of the
vehicle may need to be made before any correcting actions are taken.
The information from the consignment note is used to update the information on the Definition, Identity,
Specification and Purchase Brief tabs.
