The system uses the account v0030 for the trade-in purchase invoice. Provided the Invoice
Account and Customer Account details have been completed on the 8main9 vehicle (Sales Brief
tab) the name and address of the supplier and last owner are automatically populated on the
trade-in.
The details in these fields can be manually over-typed if necessary.
Complete the Purchase invoice details. The system will automatically populate the invoice
number and the invoice date.
The Buying branch is a mandatory field to be completed before the record can be saved.
Enter the details of any outstanding hire purchase agreements.
Enter the Purchase price of the trade-in, this is the value the system will use for any Vat
calculations on the trade-in.
The Stock Value and Adjusted stock values will default to the purchase price of the vehicle. If
there is an over allowance on the trade-in, enter the correct valuation figure in both of these
fields. The value in these two fields must always be the same as each other.
STEP 11
The trade-in purchase invoice is produced when the sales invoice for the 8main9 vehicle is
