STEP
PROCESS
STEP 1
From the main WIP screen, load up the required WIP. This can be done by keying the
WIP number directly into the WIP number box …
… or by using the search tool.
Check that the lines to be invoiced are at the correct 8P9rogress and 8I9nvoice status.
This is done by looking at the 8P9 and 8I9 codes at the end of the appropriate lines.
STEP 2
Note: Should the labour rate or labour discount require amending, this should be done
at this time.
STEP 3
Check that the Account number on the WIP is correct for the invoice.
Note: If the labour rate or discount is to be amended, the correct account number
must be on the WIP before making the changes. If this is not done, the labour rate
and discount will be reset when the account number is changed (unless the line has
been fixed)
Some account numbers are set up so that an order number must be quoted before an
invoice can be produced. Should this be the case, as soon as the account is selected,
the 8Order9 tab on the WIP header will open, prompting for the order number to be
inserted.
Failure to complete the box at this stage would result in the order number prompt
reappearing at the final invoicing phase, and no further progress is possible without an
entry at this point.
