STEP
PROCESS
STEP 1
A number of labour types can be set up, each with it9s own associated labour rate e.g.
Retail at £85/hr, Warranty at £68/hr, Internal at £42/hr etc. To change the labour type,
double click on the required line number to open the labour details page
Click on the drop down arrow in the Labour type code box and select the required
labour type.
STEP 2
Click in the 8Fixed9 box to insert a tick.
It is very important that this tick box is completed. As described in the introduction, the
account number on the WIP usually controls which labour type, rate and discount will
be used. If these default values are amended without 8fixing9 them, the values will be
changed back as dictated by the account number. Fixing the changes prevents the
account number controlling the values on that particular line, so even if the account
number is changed, the required rate or discount will remain. Lines that have been
fixed will show on the WIP with blue text.
