Oil & Sundry
Lines
8. Introduction
In order to make charges for sundry items e.g. consumables, waste oil disposal etc. 8pseudo9 labour
lines are used. This type of labour line can also be utilised for those dealers that issue bulk oil through
the service department rather than as a part number. They work in a slightly different way to genuine
labour lines in that they do not necessarily require a technician number or taken time. The labour rate
letter (in conjunction with a background parameter) dictates whether technician number and time taken
is required. Additional background settings will be set up so the value on these lines will post to the
correct nominal ledger accounts e.g. post as lubricant sales rather than labour sales.
