Service POS Operations - Flipbook - Page 27
STEP
PROCESS
STEP 1
In the main POS screen, select the appropriate RTS code list from the right hand box
in the 8New product9 area
STEP 2
Click on the search button next to the new product box and select 8Labour9 from the
submenu to initiate the search facility. The options seen in this submenu can be
restricted so service personnel would only see 8Labour9 and 8Menus9
This will open the RTS record search screen where codes can be located either by
Short Name or Word Search. A Short name search looks at a common group name for
related codes. Word Search will look anywhere in the description text for the required
search text. A Word search is the preferred way to look for codes as success is more
likely than using Short Name.
When using Word Search, up to four different search texts can be used, but each
8word9 must be at least three characters long and separated from other 8words9 with a
space.
Example – word searching for an RTS code with description 8Replace Front Brake
Pads9. Any combination of BRA FRO PAD or FIT would result in a 8hit9, and all codes
containing the search text will be displayed in a list.
Once the required code has been identified, select it by clicking on the line, then the
8OK9 button (or double click on the selected line)
Note – Manufacturer specific codes may utilise a different search routine. If this is the
case, specific training on usage will be provided on site.
