Adding Labour
Lines
3. Introduction
Once the WIP header is created, labour lines relating to the required work need to be added. Each labour
line (or RTS code) would represent a specific task e.g. 8replace front brake pads9, 8fit rear silencer9 etc.
Manufacturers often create their own codes for these tasks, and these will contain the allowed time for the
task. Autoline do however supply a list of generic codes which can be used across all franchises. Due to
the more general nature of these codes, they seldom have any allowed time associated with them.
Labour lines can also be used to add a charge for lubricants (if these are sold through service rather than
parts) and additional charges for consumable or sundry items. They can also be used to add notes to a
job, which will be printed on the jobcard and/or invoice.
Note – A new WIP cannot be saved for the first time until at least one line has been entered.
