Manual Credit Note
27. Introduction
A manual credit note is used when it is not possible to access the original WIP because it has been
deleted. Fully costed and invoiced WIPs will be retained for a set period (usually around 60 days). Once
this period has elapsed, the WIP will no longer available. This means that a new WIP must be created
which will form a mirror image of the original. It is vital therefore, that a copy of the original invoice is
available.
