25. Introduction
The Autoline system provides a number of different approaches to producing credit notes depending on
the circumstances:

Why is the credit note is being raised?
Has the WIP been deleted?
The main deciding factor is if the WIP can still be accessed (i.e. it has not been deleted). WIPs that
have been fully costed and invoiced will remain accessible for a set period, usually around 60 days.
Should a credit note need to be produced, it is much easier if the original WIP is still available although
credits can still be created, even if the original WIP is no longer available. This section covers a full
credit when the original WIP is still available.
