STEP
PROCESS
STEP 1
Having checked and processed all the lines, ensure the account number for the first
invoice is loaded on the WIP.
STEP 2
Identify the line(s) that are to be split. To perform the split, right click (or double left
click) on the 8Total9 value of the required line.
Total Field
Note: A line will not be available for splitting if it is not 8C9omplete. If an attempt is
made, an error message is displayed – 8Incorrect status for contribution9
The payment contribution box now opens up where the split can be made.
The split can be made either by percentage or by monetary value, and a line can be
split up to five ways. The example above shows a line split into two, with a 60/40 split.
Click OK to confirm the split and the split is then made as shown below.
The remaining lines on the WIP can now be split as required and invoiced off to the
correct accounts, as detailed in the section on Split (multiple) Invoicing. Split lines can
be further split unless they have been invoiced. This process can be repeated five
times, or until a line would have a value of less than 1p as it could not then be
invoiced.
As can be seen above when the line is split the first percentage split is ready for
invoice and the remaining lines are 8Held9 back from invoicing. Ensuring the first split
relates to the currently loaded account can simplify invoicing process .
