STEP 4
When the subsequent invoice is ready to be printed, load up the WIP. The lines that
have been invoiced will now show at X and X status.
The next stage is to change the account number.
The account can be searched for using the search button or the search text can be
typed directly into the Account code field. Both of these options will start the search
tool.
If the Sales Ledger account code is known, it can be directly entered into the field.
Once the account is selected, a prompt box appears, asking if the customer name and
address currently on the WIP is to be overwritten with the account name and address.
The appropriate response is made. Normally this is 8No9 but particular circumstances
may dictate otherwise.
Having selected the correct account for the next invoice, it is possible that the labour
rate, discount or VAT has changed as these are controlled by the account number.
STEP 5
After the new account has been inserted on the WIP, the lines that were previously
held will now have had the 8H9 flag removed. This happens automatically whenever an
account is changed. If any of the lines are not to be invoiced to this account, these
must be held once again.
