STEP 1
In order to create the new vehicle, it must be established that the vehicle does not
already exist within the database. This is done by searching for the vehicle in the
normal way i.e. as though a WIP is going to be created. As the system will not
recognise the registration, the record creation buttons become active as shown below.
Do not take the option to create the vehicle at this stage, but search for the customer.
As the customer will exist, the Customer Search box will open, showing any linked
vehicles.
If there are any linked vehicles, check to ensure that the required vehicle is not already
listed (the customer may well have misquoted the registration). This will avoid
duplicate records being created.
STEP 2
Select the 8No vehicle9 line in the vehicle list. This will enable the 8Create vehicle9 tick
box in the Controls area of the Customer Search box.
