Description
This field is normally pre-populated from the choices above
or should be manually entered for non-franchise vehicles
Within a service context, the initial vehicle record may have been created from details
provided by the customer when a telephone booking was being made. Important
details e.g. chassis number, date of registration etc. may not have been known at that
time. It is very important to supply this information as and when it becomes available.
Autoline will allow the creation of a vehicle record with a bare minimum of information.
This does provide flexibility, but there is a responsibility to 8fill in the blanks9 at the
earliest opportunity.
The vehicle record can be reopened for updating by clicking on the 8More9 button on
the Vehicle tab in the WIP
This will reopen the Extended Vehicle details screen as shown earlier, where the
additional details can be inserted. Once the new details have been input, click on
8Update9..
A confirmation box will open to update the record.
