Option
Description
Factor
Normally set to 1, the system will increase the
Maximum suggested stock level by this factor
before generating the order, for example:
Max – 10
Current stock – 5
Factor – 2
Using the above (and assuming no outstanding
P/O or B/O) the Maximum would first be increased
by a factor of 2, resulting in a new Maximum of 20.
With a current stock level of 5, this would result in
an order for 15 units being placed. With the normal
factor of 1 in place the order would be for 5 units.
Great care should be taken with the 8Factor9 as the
results can be very dramatic.
Cut off date
If set, the system will use the date as a cut-off
point for the generation of the order.
Action – Display
The order will not be generated; however it
will be displayed on screen.
Action – Print
The order will not be generated; however it will be
printed off.
Action – Generate
Generates the order, creating the lines and header
within Purchase Control. A summary sheet will
print with the details of the PO number, number of
lines and value.
