Details Tab
The details tab contains the principal details supporting a Franchise code record; these should never be set or
amended unless you are sure of the effect. You are strongly advised to contact ADP if you require any changes to
an existing Franchise record or the creation of a new Franchise.
Description
A description of the Franchise (up to thirty characters)
Equivalent
If part numbers may be held on file under an alternative franchise code
to this one, but otherwise the part number will be exactly the same, and
the parts interchangeable then the alternative franchise codes to this
one should be entered here.
In this way, if you enter a part with one franchise code at the beginning
of it, the system will automatically scan for the part number with the
equivalent codes.
Format surcharge
If set to surcharge part numbers will be formatted in the same manner
as ordinary part numbers. Not normally required.
Price names
The system will prompt for 3 names of up to 7 characters, each of which
will be used to overwrite the standard descriptions of the three selling
prices on the stock record.
Currency Code
The currency code for this franchise for the retail price.
Surcharges Used
Setting this to Off will stop the surcharge fields being shown for input.
Suffix on surcharge
This parameter will determine the up to three-character suffix or prefix
automatically added to a new equipment part number when dealing with
a dirty unit exchange part number.
If you set this to XP, then the code XP would automatically be added to
a new equipment part number to determine the part number of the dirty
unit.
Surcharge
Pre/Suffix
This indicator determines whether the dirty unit code as per the previous
field is added to the front of the part number (8P9 for prefix) or to the end
of the part number (8S9 for suffix).
Post purchase
surch.
This parameter determines whether, for this franchise, a part with an
exchange unit surcharge value, has that value posted to the exchange
unit surcharge stock when the part is receipted into stock from the
manufacturer. Some franchises only charge dirty unit surcharges if the
old part is not returned so many days after the see original equipment
part was supplied. Normally but not for Volvo
Post ICT surcharge
This parameter determines whether, for this franchise, a part with an
exchange unit surcharge value, has that value posted to the exchange
unit surcharge stock when the part is receipted into stock from an ICT
transfer. Normally
Surcharge Balance
Unless checked stock quantities for old surcharge units will not be
maintained. Normally
