Description
Variances
The value of purchase variance posted during the verification process.
Initially these will be zero.
Note:
There is a % variance flag and maximum variance value within Purchase
Control System Parameters. The system checks the value of variance
at the time of Posting and Completing the invoice. If the value is greater
than the % variance allowable, the operator will not be allowed to Post
and Complete unless they are logged in at a high priority to override the
check
The banner beneath the invoice number and supplier details denotes
whether invoices for this Supplier9s Account are verified by Goods
Received/9D9elivery Note or by 8O9rder Number. This is defined by a flag
on the Purchase Ledger Account Record for the supplier concerned.
Most users set the Supplier9s Account to be verified by 8D9elivery Note.
Note:
Once the purchase invoice type has been set for a particular supplier, it
should not be changed, as outstanding invoices may not be successfully
verified.
The Save option may be used at any time to save this record for future
action. This will allow an invoice which does not verify to be saved
whilst the appropriate action is taken.
