Add/modify Sales Analysis
This program is provided for the maintenance of the budgeted or forecast sales values, and
possibly the set-up of year-to-date actual data, where a system is going live part way through a
year.
When selected from the menu, this program provides a standard Rev.8 file maintenance ring
menu, allowing the operator to Create a new record, Amend, Display or Delete an existing
record, Search the file for existing records based on possible selection criteria or carry out data
Set-up on existing records.
In the Create, Amend, Display and Delete mode, the operator will be asked to specify the Sales
Ledger account element of the record key.
It should be noted that this is a look-up on the Sales Ledger itself, and the presence of an
account code in this display does not mean necessarily that there are any sales analysis
records in existence for that account.
Once the Sales Ledger account has been entered, the operator will be asked to specify the
product discount group required. There is no search routine on this field.
If the Create record option is taken, the user will be presented with the Actual Values entry
screen, with the cursor positioned in the sales column at period one.
Once the required data for a given record has been entered then the operator can use the
options to Create, Save or Cancel. Failure to select the Create or Save option will mean that
any data entered for that record would be lost.
