Parts Point of Sale Manager - Flipbook - Page 22
Alternate
descript'n
The alternate description is designed to allow the user to transfer
information of alternate or superseded numbers to their customers when
printing invoices. The parameter may be set to 'P'arts, 'S'ervice, 'B'oth, or
'N'one.
Dependant on the setting, the system will include within the description of
the parts on an invoice, either the alternate part number or the superseded
part number, depending on which part number is selected.
Allow fixed prices It is possible, subject to the setting of this parameter, to fix the price in an
individual WIP line, so that the price is not updated if either the account
number is changed or the part is repriced on the parts stock or master file.
There is a tick box available to check on the Parts Details page to fix a
price after it has been altered. Remember to do this before saving the
WIP.

Autoset discount
category
If this flag is set to '' then the system will automatically set the discount
category on a backordered part to the order status. This will have the
effect of automatically discounting parts dependant on the type of order
raised. This will not be of use if you do not pass on VOR purchase penalty
to your customers.
Recalc on change Whether or not to recalculate parts prices and discounts when the sales
ledger account is changed on a WIP header.
The options are 'A' for Always, 'p' for parts WIPs only, 's' for service WIPs
only, or 'P' for Prompt the operator whether to recalculate. Note that the 'p'
and 's' settings are in lower case.
