Detailed Parts W.I.P. Report
This report gives a detailed work in progress listing for either an individual work in progress
record, or for a total department, or all departments. For each line printed, the part number,
WIP number, date last edited, department, menu flag, contribution flag, price override flag,
quantity, selling price, gross value, discount value, net value, cost value, surcharge value, profit
margin, margin exception and operator is shown. The menu flag indicates that this part is part
of a menu. The contribution flag indicates whether the part has been subjected to a
contribution. The price override flag shows that the selling price has been changed and the
profit exception flag indicates that the profit margin from this line is outside the limits laid down
for the appropriate product group. Only those lines currently in work in progress will be shown,
that is to say parts that have been requisitioned but not invoiced or parts which have been
credited financially but as yet not returned into stock.
A report is sorted by department/WIP number/part number. A new page is given on change of
department and a sub-total is given on change of WIP number. The part number sort is input
part number format, not internal packed part number format. That is to say how the part would
appear displayed on the screen.
On running this report, two prompts will be offered; one allowing a selection of departments, or
blank for all. This prompt works the same way as in report K01. The second prompt allows the
selection of an individual WIP number.
This report is not available as part of end of day, but maybe submitted as part of the report
generator batch. The report ideally should not be run for all departments during peak trading
times, but maybe run at anytime for a single WIP number.
