Introduction to the Nominal Ledger and Associa - Flipbook - Page 90
Report Generator
This is an extremely powerful tool used to create reports on the system. It is normally recommended that new
users have at least 6 months experience of using the system before contemplating attending Report Generator
courses.
Enquiries Menu
This option gives access to the Ad-hoc reporting tool. This is effectively a cut down version of Report Generator
and is an excellent introduction to the report writing facilities of the system. Quite powerful and useful reports can
be produced using this tool even though it is reasonably easy to use. Reports may be saved for individual or
group use as appropriate. Extensive help files assist greatly when beginning to use this tool.
Daybook Enquiries
This option contains five reports to allow reporting and re-printing of daybooks. End of day must have been run to
allow access to the daybook information.
Expense Code Audit Print
This report ensures that any amendments or creation of Nominal Ledger expense codes can be monitored by
means of a printed copy, listing the changes in expense code order.
Once the report is printed, the file is automatically cleared down. It is usually set to run as part of the Timed
Operations for end of day processing.
View/Print Financial Report
These facilities give access to print and view reports that have been produced in the Edit Financial Report Format
option. The Trial Balance and a Zero Balance report are usually found on this menu.
Edit/Print Financial Report Format
It is possible to edit report formats and to print the details for confirmation purposes.
