Print Daybooks
Introduction
Print NL Daybooks is part of the system audit trail responsible for updating the Nominal Ledger as a result of
activity throughout the system. This is a standard part of the Timed Operations daily updates.
Within the Nominal Ledger, Print Daybooks can be set to run on exit from various posting activities on request, or
from the main menu. Taking this action will update the transactions processed on the current terminal only. This
is generally a standard set up to allow accounts staff to process their work immediately for update to the nominal
ledger. Otherwise, all transactions processed are held in the invoice buffer for update during Timed Operations –
normally run overnight. Transactions held in the buffer may be viewed using View Posting Buffer.
