Imported Journals
Introduction
This function provides a powerful facility to import journals direct from a spreadsheet. This is commonly used with
Excel. The layout of the spreadsheet follows the journal form and requires the following information as a
minimum:Journal reference (this must be detailed on every line of the journal posting)
Date of the journal
Nominal account code
Suffix
Value
Narrative
The system will accept spreadsheets saved in CSV or XLS format.
A search facility, within the NL Journals routine, provides the link to locate the spreadsheet for import to the
system.
