Control Account Journal
Introduction
Control Account Journals are for quite specific use. The option is only available to Priority 7 users and above and
allows posting, as the title suggests, to control accounts.
This would cover Sales, Purchase, Vat and Vehicle control accounts. It is not possible to post to these accounts
through the normal journal routine and in general practice it should not be necessary to do so. The only exception
to this is the Vat control accounts which need to be cleared to the Vat payable account at the month or quarter
end.
The layout and use of the Control Journal is identical to the standard journal function.
