Standard Journals
Introduction
Standard journals may be set up to cater for regular postings. Using this functionality saves searching for the
same nominal accounts, entering suffix and narrative details repeatedly. It effectively becomes a posting
template or skeleton document.
Standard journals are set up in the Miscellaneous Menu and recalled for use within the Insert NL Journal Entries
routine. At the time of posting it is possible to add new lines and to skip lines in the standard journal, as long as
the final document is in balance and mandatory fields such as suffix, where required, are complete the system will
accept the posting.
Note – Journal entries do not update the VAT statistics.
