6. Expected Error Statements
6.1 Cannot load labour Balance sheet record for key L A in
WIP 12345
Here the system is reporting that the Balance sheet cannot account for postings for line/s on
the wip number stated.
A full set of posting codes would be LFA for example, which would be a labour line with a
franchise code F (Ford), an Analysis code of A. And if these were valid codes set up on
this DMS then there would be no reported error.
The first character states if it is a labour or parts line. The second character denotes the
Franchise, and the third character denotes the Analysis code.
The system will report as many errors as it finds so if this message is printed three times
then there are three lines with a problem.
In the example above, there is a labour line on WIP 12345, with an analysis code A (labour
rate type), but there is no Franchise code attached to it as there is a blank space where the
franchise code would be.
This normally occurs when there is no vehicle attached to the wip, and there is no default
franchise set on the users9 terminal that created the wip. If the labour lines are only at memo
status then attaching a vehicle to the wip would normally correct this. Then the message will
not appear on next day9s PSTAU report. If the line has been actioned, it is best to, contact
Autoline DMS/support to ensure this is corrected with no further posting errors.
6.2 Cannot load parts balance sheet record for key PT in
WIP 12345
This example shows that one character is missing but it cannot be the franchise code as
there is no space after the P. So it is the Analysis code missing off the end. (3rd digit).
(The wip number stated here may not be accurate for parts lines as the system prints a wip
number that was in memory at the time.)
So you can create an adhoc report in the stock file looking for a part with no analysis code or
Analysis = <
