Franchise Data - Flipbook - Page 91
STEP 6
The Variant/Option Prices window (shown below) will be displayed.
Enter the Effective from date. This date can be in the future if necessary, any current price will
still be used in VSB and Showroom unless the Effective date in the VSB or Showroom modules
is set to equal to or later than the Effective from date entered here.
It is not necessary to put an Effective to date against the 8old9 price as the system will do this
automatically once the new Effective from date has been entered.
STEP 7
Enter the new Selling price for the variant. The price to be used is the 8Manufacturers
Maximum Recommended Retail Price9 (or the equivalent) before Vat.
It is not necessary to enter the Taxable price of the vehicle.
The % list price will pick up the setting from the model or franchise setting provided the variant
record Prices tab setting is set to N, refer to process 03.001.01 – Creating Franchise Details
and process 03.001.02 Creating Model Details. This value cannot be changed here even
though it is in a green field which normally suggests that the value is editable. If the value is
not correct go back to the franchise, model or variant details to make the necessary changes.
The Calculated cost price is not shown until the details have been saved (see STEP 8). Once
the details have been saved repeating the actions in STEP 5 will show the calculated cost.
If the variant record Cost calculation (on the Prices tab) setting is P then the margin for the
variant should be entered into the % list price field.
If the variant record Cost calculation (on the Prices tab) is set to B or C then the cost price of
the vehicle will need to be entered. Enter the cost price before Vat.
Do not tick the Car tax flag as this currently has no functionality.
STEP 8
Click on OK to save the changes.
