Select the Pricing tab.
Fields that need to be completed are:
•
•
•
Cost calculation
Options margin
VAT code
The Cost calculation has four settings:
•
•
•
•
N – Percentage of list price from model or franchise
P – Percentage of list on this variant only
B – Fixed Bonus (value)
C – Fixed Cost Price (value)
These setting are used to help calculate the cost of the vehicle. The system usually works
from the manufacturers recommended selling (or list) prices (before Vat) to calculate the cost
price of the vehicle.
If the setting 8N9 has been used here the system will take the list price and look at the margin
set at model level. If a margin has not been set at model level the system will look at the
franchise settings for a margin. It will use the margin together with the list price of the vehicle
and calculate the cost price of the vehicle. The list price of the vehicle is entered later in the
Build Specification option, refer to process 03.005.04 – Build Specifications – Adding a Vehicle
Price.
If the setting 8P9 has been used the system will require a margin to be entered at variant level
for it to be able to calculate the cost price. The variant percentage is added when the list price
of the variant is entered in the Build Specification option, refer to process 03.005.04 – Build
Specifications – Adding a Vehicle Price.
The 8B9 and 8C9 setting are similar and like the 8P9 setting the extra information required to
calculate the cost price is added when the list price of the vehicle is entered in the Build
Specification option.
The Option margin can be entered here but if it is the same as the Option margin at model
level it can be left blank and the system will use the value already set at the model level. If the
value at model level is also blank the system will use the value at the franchise level.
