To complete the Locator code information click on the ellipsis to the right of the field and the
above window will be displayed.
The values to be used in the Value column are user definable and should be planned in
advance of the initial set up on the variants so that consistency is maintained throughout the
vehicle records.
The number in the Length column indicates the maximum number of characters that can be
used in the Value column.
The value can be a combination of alpha and numeric but the Locator verify image (circled
above) shows what is to be used and these settings cannot be changed. In the example above
the Model Code is highlighted and the Locator verify image is set to 8XXXXXXX9. This
indicates that alpha or numeric characters can be used to a maximum of seven characters.
The 8#9 symbol indicates a number is to be used and 8A9 character indicates an alpha character
must be used.
