STEP 5
Create a new Model code which will have to be unique to this franchise. This code can be up to
ten characters long and it is recommended that UPPER CASE is used. A combination of alpha
and numeric characters can be used.
Complete all the relevant information on the Details tab.
Enter a Description of the model that is being created.
If the model is to be ordered as a new vehicle in the Vehicle Stock Books (VSB) and
Showroom modules then the field Current Model will need to be ticked.
The Margin % is for the vehicle model margin to be recorded. The system will use this margin
to calculate the cost price of each of the variants attached to this model code (from the
manufacturer9s list price). This margin can be left blank if it is the same as the margin set in
the franchise record details, see process 03.001.01 Creating Franchise Details.
The Options margin can also be left blank if it is the same as the margin set in the Franchise
record details, see process 03.001.01 Creating Franchise Details.
If posting codes are being used for the vehicle postings then enter the required VS posting
code.
