The Copy Options
Wizard
21. Introduction
The Copy Options Wizard allows the user to copy options already created to the same level or to another level
within the database. Using this process to create options in the Franchise Data module can be significantly
quicker than creating the same option a second time using the normal procedures to create the options
As explained in process 03.005.02 – Introduction to Creating an Option, the planning of the creation of vehicle
options is very important to the efficient running of the Franchise Data module. Before the Copy Options Wizard
is used the principles in this process need to be clearly understood.
Options are (usually) split into the following categories:

Factory fitted options
Dealer fitted options
Non-Recoverable options
Warranties
Colours
Trims
Insurances
Bonuses
The options in any of these categories can be copied into the same option category at the same level, a higher
level (if one exists) or to a lower level. Any or all of the options can be copied in one go provided they are from
the same source to the same destination.
