14. Introduction
It is important to read the process 03.005.02 – Build Specification – Introduction to Creating an Option. It is
important to understand the principles outlined in this process before trying to create a factory option.
If third party information from David Henley or CAP Data is used then most factory options will already be created
on the system. Be careful not to create an option which might be subsequently created by the third party
information suppliers as this might lead to duplication of options.
All factory options offered by the franchise will need to be set up in the Franchise Data module before it is
available in the Vehicle Stock Book (VSB) or Showroom modules.
